Questions we hear all the time.
Plain answers about managed IT, cybersecurity, and what working with KOM Cloud Service actually looks like. No sales language.
Things people usually ask before they book.
What does 'managed IT' actually mean for a small business?
It means your computers, servers, and network are monitored and maintained continuously — not just when something breaks. Problems get caught and fixed before they cost you a day of downtime. You get a predictable monthly cost instead of surprise repair bills, and one person who knows your setup.
How quickly do you respond when something goes wrong?
For critical issues — a server down, email not working, a potential security incident — the goal is same-day response, often within the hour. For non-urgent requests, next business day. You'll have a direct line, not a ticket queue.
Do you require long-term contracts?
Engagements are structured as ongoing monthly agreements, not multi-year lock-ins. The goal is to earn your business by being genuinely useful — not to trap you in a contract you can't get out of.
We already have some IT in place. Can you work with what we have?
Yes. Most clients come with a mix of existing tools, old hardware, and partial setups. The first step is always an assessment of what you have, what's working, and what needs attention — then we go from there.
What's your service area?
Anywhere, for managed IT and cybersecurity — we work remotely with clients across the US. On-site work (hardware, office visits, physical installs) is available in New Jersey. Most day-to-day support never requires anyone to show up in person.
How is this different from the IT support my internet provider offers?
Provider support is designed to get your connection working, not to manage your business technology. You get a different person every call, no knowledge of your setup, and no proactive work. KOM Cloud Service handles your full IT environment — devices, security, Microsoft 365, cloud — and the same engineer is there every time.
Is cybersecurity really a concern for a business my size?
Small businesses are targeted specifically because attackers assume the security is weaker. Ransomware gangs, phishing campaigns, and business email compromise all disproportionately hit small and mid-sized companies. The cost of a breach — downtime, recovery, notification — is often more than a year of managed security.
What certifications do you hold?
Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, and AWS SysOps Administrator Associate. KOM Cloud Service is also a Microsoft Partner.
